BANGKOK, Oct 14 -- The Chaipattana Foundation Aid and Restoration Centres have opened to help flood victims in flood-ravaged province of Ayutthaya province at the request of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Princess Sirindhorn, as executive chairperson has assigned the Chaipattana Foundation to set up Aid and Restoration Centers for Flood Victims in Wang Noi and Lard Bua Luang districts of Ayutthaya province to shelter flood-affected residents evacuated from their homes and distribute essential aid, including medical services, to all flood victims in the province and its vicinity.
The first centre was set up at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University in Ayutthaya’s Wang Noi district.

The centre currently accommodating 600 flood victims. In collaboration with the Royal Thai Army, the Thai Red Cross Society, Thai Airways International, and other agencies, the flood relief centre under the Chaipattana Foundation have been operated 24 hours.
In addition, Princess Sirindhorn has recently granted permission to the Chaipattana Foundation to consider setting up another flood relief center at the Army Air Defense Operation Center in Wang Noi district of Ayutthaya to expand its flood relief efforts.
The new centre is in preparation and will open for flood victims very soon.

On Friday, Princess Sirindhorn granted survival kits to be distributed to flood victims who had not received any help in Bang Pa-in district of Ayutthaya. The royal relief mission today is supported by the Department of Fisheries.
The Chaipattana Foundation will remain open for the public to join the mission by contacting 02 282 4425-8 ext 116 to donate money and necessities to support its flood relief efforts. (MCOT online news)
